Students pursuing a doctoral degree in psychology can access the Internship Training Handbook in PDF format with comprehensive information about the Pre-Doctoral Psychology Internship Program. Directory of Spanish Language Articles and Services/ Lista de Articulos y Servicios en Espanol

The goal of our Training Institute is to provide a series of training opportunities to mental health professionals as well as to the community. The focus will be on presenting programs with practical applicability - programs that really make a difference.

Our Curricula are:

  • Beyond Good Touches/Bad Touches - A Child Sexual Abuse and Abduction Prevention Curriculum ©

  • Adolescent Sexual Assault and Harassment Prevention Curriculum ©

  • Understanding Mental Disorders ©

We provide training sessions to teach school personnel about the curricula and are also available to provide presentations to parents.

Our Speakers Bureau is available to make presentations on concerns of daily life as well as about mental health and mental illness. We can also provide information on how to find appropriate assistance.

We are approved by the New York State Education Department to provide community training in Child Abuse Identification and Reporting for all licensed professionals mandated to report child abuse and neglect.

We are approved by the New York State Education Department to offer training in School Violence Prevention and Intervention for teachers, teacher assistants, pupil personnel services professionals and school administrators who are applying for New York State certification.

Warning Signs/Senales de Advertencia, an anti-violence program for youth developed by the American Psychological Association and MTV, available in both Spanish and English, is one of many resources availabe to help with Anti-Violence Programs for Youth.

We feature articles on many topics relating to the issue of mental health in our What’s New section, many of which continue to be relevant though they are no longer “new” to the site. They can be found in our Education Articles Archives.

The Directory of Spanish Language Articles and Services is a list of all information we provide in Spanish on our site as well as links to other sites for information in Spanish.
