Giving to MHA of Westchester

Imagine life without a home.

For individuals diagnosed with a mental illness, a place to call home is often the first step toward recovery.

Gifts of Appreciated Stock and Planned Giving Opportunities
Donating a highly appreciated asset to MHA may help you avoid a significant portion of your tax liability and provide a charitable contribution deduction.

A planned gift is a lasting investment in MHA’s work that also supports your personal and financial objectives. By establishing a planned gift, you can help secure the future of MHA’s programs and services. You can name MHA as a beneficiary of your will, life insurance policy or retirement plan, or establish a trust or annuity that will provide you with income and subsequently support MHA’s work.

For more information, please contact Diane Adler at 914-345-5900 ext. 305 adlerd@mhawestchester.org or Connie Moustakas at 914-345-5900 ext. 209 or moustakc@mhawestchester.org.

Corporate Giving

MHA offers a variety of ways for businesses to make a charitable contribution to MHA including sponsoring MHA’s annual Run/Walk!, annual benefit, or annual educational conference, or by making a grant to one of MHA’s programs.

For information on program needs or sponsorship opportunities, contact Diane Adler at 914-345-5900 ext. 305 adlerd@mhawestchester.org or Connie Moustakas at 914-345-5900 ext. 209 or moustakc@mhawestchester.org.

Gifts-in-Kind

MHA operates a Thrift Shop that provides low-cost clothing and essentials. Proceeds from the Thrift Shop are used for recreational activities and education scholarships for Sterling Club members.

If you have new or gently-used clothing for adults, house wares or bric-a-brac that you would like to donate call 914-949-1212 ext. 225 or e-mail help@mhawestchester.org.

For detailed information on our Thrift Shop including hours and location click here.

Holiday Outreach

Each year, MHA gathers and distributes new, unwrapped gifts to hundreds of children, teenagers, adults and seniors.  Individuals and organizations (churches, synagogues, scouting troops) can help by purchasing gifts of food, clothing, household items or toys that MHA matches to a child or family to make their personal wish lists come true.

You can also help by making a financial contribution to support our efforts in making the holidays brighter for those in need, or donate a store gift card that enables an individual to shop for the holidays.  Financial contributions and gift cards for holiday outreach are welcome year round.
