Executive Staff
Dr. Amy Kohn Chief Executive Officer kohna@mhawestchester.org
Dr. Kohn is responsible for all aspects of administration, financial management, program development and leadership for the agency. She received her MSW from Adelphi University, her Doctorate in Social Welfare from Columbia University, and is a graduate of the Not-for-Profit Executive Management Program at the Columbia University School of Business. Dr. Kohn has served on several non-profit boards in the Westchester area and is a frequent lecturer on clinical work with adolescents, group work, secondary trauma and capacity building. Doris Schwartz, LCSW Chief Operating Officer schwartd@mhawestchester.org
As the Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Schwartz joins the CEO in overseeing the health and welfare of the organization and new business development and advocacy efforts. She has a MSW and a MA in Early Childhood Education from New York University, and has over 20 years of experience working with non-profit organizations and in the mental health field. Ms. Schwartz’s notable honors include the 2004 New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services Lifetime Achievement Award and the 1993 New York State Office of Mental Health Individual of the Year Award.

Ms. Lisio has executive oversight for all clinical, case management, housing and vocational services. Ms. Lisio leads the agency’s strategic planning for the redesign of services to meet the challenges of today and beyond. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. Ms. Lisio received her BA from Cornell University; an MSW from Columbia University School of Social Work; and a Certificate in Not-For-Profit Management from Columbia University Business School, Executive Education.

Ms. Relkin is responsible for the overall financial management of MHA. She is committed to ensuring that programs remain fiscally sound while providing quality service to the community. She received her BA from SUNY Purchase, an MA from the University of Chicago and an MBA in Healthcare Administration from the City University of New York. Ms. Krzemienski is responsible for human resources, business operations, facilities and billing. She is committed to making MHA one of the best places to work with a balanced perspective on work and life issues. She has a BA from St. Francis College and an MBA from Long Island University. With over 22 years of Information Systems experience Mr. Adasek and staff have the following qualifications and certifications: Remote access with CITRIX, Certified Novell Administrator and Engineer, Cisco Network Administrator, A+ Desktop Technician, Telecommunications and Microsoft Certified IT Professional.
Ruth D. Nirenberg, PsyD Senior Vice-President nirenber@mhawestchester.org
Dr. Nirenberg, a New York State licensed psychologist, oversees agency-wide Quality Assurance and Compliance initiatives, as well as professional development training, including MHA’s Internship Training Program. She is distinguished as a trainer on multiple topics, is a certified Mental Health Instructor by the New York State Municipal Police Training Council, and has authored an original manual for group work with women who have experienced domestic violence. A graduate of Brandeis University, Dr. Nirenberg received her MS degree in applied psychology and her PsyD in clinical psychology from Long Island University.

Ruthanne Abramovich, MA Vice-President abramovr@mhawestchester.org
Ms. Abramovich, a rehabilitation counselor, oversees Employment Services, Supported and Apartment Treatment Housing. Ms. Abramovich received her BA from Drew University and an MA in Rehabilitation Counseling from New York University. Her 20-year career has focused on assisting persons with disabilities achieve full community participation and maximum social, vocational and economic independence. She is committed to insuring that services are delivered with a person-centered services philosophy in order to help people reach their goals.
Kelly Darrow, LCSW Vice-President darrowk@mhawestchester.org
Ms. Darrow oversees the Adult Home Case Management, Children’s Intensive Case Management and the HCBS Waiver programs. She also provides oversight for MHA’s Advocacy Programs which consist of Family Support Services, Court Appointed Special Advocates, and Independent Third Party Review; and conducts community presentations on a variety of topics. Ms. Darrow received a BA from SUNY, Albany and an MSW from New York University School of Social Work.
