MHA’s Residential Services support individual’s choices regarding their living, working and social environments, in order to live the most independent life possible. Support staff are available to residents 24 hours per day.

Services
Apartment Treatment Program (ATP) For women only, ATP facilities are located in White Plains and includes Rutherford House/Longview Apartments, a congregate care level II facility licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health. Residence Counselors are on site and help residents to maintain their highest level of functioning in daily living as they work to achieve personal goals, including living in a more independent setting. Counselors assist with maintaining the medication schedules, accessing health services, strengthening daily living skills and developing social networks.
To accommodate the varying levels of support required by individuals in recovery, ATP includes two buildings: One provides group living and staff are available to work with residents daily. The other provides individual apartments and staff visit residents at least twice each week, more if needed.
Supported Housing (SH) For men and women who live independently, SH offers permanent housing in apartments owned by MHA and located in Yonkers and White Plains; and also provides apartments to individuals throughout Westchester County. SH residents may remain in their apartments and receive MHA’s support as long as needed. Residents collaborate with a Housing Case Manager to develop skills in areas of their choice, such as managing personal finances and developing budgets, negotiating with their landlord, and accessing community resources. For residents who share an apartment, Case Managers may also assist with roommate relationships. Case Managers visit residents at home at least twice per month, and can increase or decrease the number of visits in response to a resident’s stated needs.
MHA also provides rental stipends and support to support independent living.
