Services for Adults: Ages 17.5 and Older
- Therapy and Support for Adults: Individual, group and family treatment and counseling, medication therapy, and services for grandparents raising children.
- Adult Services for Individuals who have been Diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness: Includes Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and Care Coordination. These services support recovery in the community and are provided at locations of an individual’s choice, rather than in a traditional office setting.
- Crossroads: A continuum of community based services for young adults ages 17.5 to 22 who have been diagnosed with a serious mental illness.
- Employment Services: Helps individuals who have psychiatric diagnoses prepare for, choose and maintain employment, or improve a current work situation.
- Long Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP): Advocacy services, including investigation of complaints, for Westchester County residents who reside in long term care facilities.
- Residential Services: Apartment Treatment and Supported Housing services for adults in recovery from mental illnesses.
- Northern Westchester Recovery Network
Northern Westchester Recovery Network: Recovery oriented activities and support for adults ages 18 and over who have experienced mental health conditions
- Sterling Community Center: Recovery oriented activities and support for adults who have been diagnosed with a serious mental illness.
- Suicide Survivor Support Group: Support and assistance for adults who have lost a loved one – close friend or family member - to suicide.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): MHA now offers a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills group as an adjunct to individual therapy. DBT skills can be helpful for individuals who have difficulty regulating emotion, tolerating situations that they find distressing, and/or being effective in interpersonal relationships.
