Social Security Benefits Management

The Social Security Benefits Management Program provides financial management of Social Security checks for adults with persistent and serious mental illnesses. The goal of the service is to help the person maintain a stable residence in the community through the payment of rent and bills, thereby preventing unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations or homelessness.

  • Had three psychiatric hospitalizations within the past 24 months
  • Have used psychiatric emergency services three times within past 12 months
  • Current hospitalization in a state psychiatric facility for at least 90 days
  • Currently homeless or living in homeless shelter

Centralized Case Management Referral Committee
Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health
112 East Post Rd., 2nd Floor
