Fundraising
Fundraising can be fun and easy.  Here are some interesting and creative tips!

  • Start early.
  • Set a goal for yourself.  People like to know how much you want to raise.
  • Make sure your contacts know of all the quick and easy ways to donate to the MHA 5K Run/Walk (via the MHA event website, telephone, mail, your active.com fundraising profile).
  • Be sure to let people know that any amount is appreciated. 
  • Ask people you see often, like friends, family, co-workers and neighbors. 
  • Use social media (your Facebook and Twitter accounts) and email to connect.
  • Ask your friends to spread the word. 
  • Direct your family and friends to www.mhawestchester.org to educate them about MHA’s mission.
  • Be sure to individually thank every person who sponsored you with a donation.
  • After the event send a follow-up email to all your sponsors to let them know how much you raised and how the race went.
