MHA Awarded 2022 Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health
This Mental Health Month, we are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the 2022 Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health by Mental Health America. This distinction recognizes employers who strive to create mentally healthy workplaces for their employees - one where employees feel valued and supported, where there is a safe workspace, and where everyone shows respect for other aspects of a person’s life. MHA is proud to be one of those workplaces.
Resources to Commemorate Juneteenth
In recognition of Juneteenth, The Mental Health Association of Westchester will be closed on Monday, June 20th. Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, recognizes the end of slavery in the United States and specifically commemorates the events of June 19th, 1865 - the day the news of the Emancipation Proclamation reached Texas, freeing approximately 250,000 Black people who remained enslaved there.
