MHA's CEO, Charlotte Östman Speaks at NYS Legislative Hearing on Mental Health Crisis Services
On Tuesday, May 18th, MHA's Chief Executive Officer, Charlotte Östman, LCSW-R spoke at the New York State Legislative Hearing on Mental Health Crisis Services. The hearing explored New York’s current mental health crisis service delivery, examining the effectiveness of mental health crisis service models, and looked at other recommendations for policies and initiatives which should be considered when responding to mental health crises.
Single Homeless Assessment Center (SHAC) Celebrates 10th Anniversary
On May 11th 2011, MHA began a partnership with the Department of Social Services to operate the Single Homeless Assessment Center (SHAC). In honor of the program’s 10th anniversary, we spoke with members of the SHAC team, including staff from MHA, the Department of Social Services and Volunteers of America.
